Terms of Use for Kobo Transfer

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Kobo Transfer, you agree to these Terms of Use.

2. App Purpose (Bridge-Only)

Kobo Transfer is a utility that creates a technical bridge between your iOS device and your Kobo eReader so you can transfer files you choose. It is not a content hosting, publishing, distribution, or rights-management service.

3. User Content Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for all books and documents you add, store, or transfer using the app.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights and permissions for that content.
• You agree not to use the app in violation of copyright, intellectual property, or other applicable laws.

4. No Review or Monitoring of Content

The developer does not select, review, monitor, verify, or control user-added documents and content.

5. Disclaimer of Liability for User Content

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible or liable for any claims, losses, damages, disputes, or legal actions arising from content added to, stored in, or transferred through Kobo Transfer.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Kobo Transfer is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, or business interruption arising from use of the app.

8. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Kobo Transfer after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
